Document Management
Gain control of your documents
KnowHow is one of the UK's most experienced practitioners in implementing Electronic Document Management Systems and related technologies. We combine extensive technical knowledge on the implementation of leading software solutions, with experience and capability in customisation and software integration, as well as levels of commitment to success rarely seen in the software consulting market.
Benefits of Document Management
Document Management technologies enable organisations to gain control of their paper and electronic documents, and to transform difficult to maintain paper stores into valuable knowledge assets, using an enterprise-ready platform that facilitates the capture, sharing, and protection of corporate content resources.
Document Management systems automate and speed the handling, storage, search and retrieval of documents. They empower information workers to quickly and easily manage their own information relating to matters, cases and projects on which they are working and enable greater productivity through the faster process completion times made possible by enabling documents to be exchanged and processed electronically.
Our Experience and Capability
KnowHow has extensive experience in implementing document management technologies to meet the most demanding of requirements, offering high-quality consultancy and technical implementation skills to our clients. We are able to rapidly implement highly adaptable and scalable solutions to meet a wide variety of document management requirements. Our integration expertise enables the solutions to be integrated with Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Novell Groupwise, various Practice Management Systems and other installed applications within your existing technical infrastructure.
We have an impressive track record of implementations in Legal and Intellectual Property firms, government organisations and commercial companies, always delivering real benefits to our clients. Our customers see high levels of return on their investment, achieved through increased productivity, reduced paper management activity and reduced paper storage requirements in the workplace.
Examples of our work
For Wellden Turnbull, a firm of Chartered Accountants in Surrey, KnowHow has implemented a Document Management system in which office administrators scan all incoming post into the system and simply route documents electronically to the relevant staff groups/persons to deal with. Storage space previously occupied by paper has been released for profit-making activity. Business processes have been streamlined and enormous gains in task completion times have resulted from this straight-forward and simple solution.
- A Single Electronic Case File
For Mewburn Ellis, a firm of Patent Attorneys based in London, KnowHow has implemented the "e-Filing system", a Document Management system in which every document relating to a Case is managed under a single case number, whether that is an incoming paper document (scanned using Kofax Capture), an incoming email message (using Lotus Notes integration), a document created internally, or a legacy document previously saved into their network file system and imported. All of these documents can now be accessed in one place, at the click of a button and the attorneys have all the available information at their hands to complete their job effectively.
