In common with other document management systems, Open Text eDOCS DM requires users to manually categorise (or profile) documents with subject and other information as they save documents, which requires time to be spent on every document and can lead to profiling errors and difficulty in finding documents.

Knowhow AutoClassify from Knowhow Consulting integrates the advanced summarisation and categorisation capabilities of the Active Navigation server with the industry-leading document management system, Open Text eDOCS DM. Knowhow AutoClassify automatically categorises documents saved into the Hummingbird DM system, reducing the categorising overhead and increasing search accuracy.
