Knowhow Consulting Software Integration Services

The days of implementing islands of information are gone. Inevitably, whenever we implement a new DM/RM/KM system, we need to build integrations with other systems to get the most of the technology. Our technical consultants have built a new of such software integrations and are highly proficient at building the most effective and easily managed integrations for our customers.

Database Integration

In many cases, an integration at the database level is the most technically effective and trouble-free of integrations. Our technical consultants are highly experienced and capable of understanding database structures and linking disparate systems through SQL Triggers, Stored Procedures and Data Transformation Services.

Examples of such database integrations are:

  • importing of client/case information from practice management systems (e.g. APS-Advance and Solution6 CMS)
  • importing of document information from MS Access databases

Application Integration

Where a database integration would not be feasible or would be likely to be troublesome, Knowhow's developmers are equally capable of understanding the programming interfaces of different systems and building bespoke software to integrate them together.

Examples of such program integrations are:

  • importing client/case information from practice management systems built upon less popular database technologies (e.g. SOS Practice Manager, built upon Progress RDBMS)
  • importing documents and related information from an iManage database into an Open Text eDOCS DM document library
  • publishing documents to external content management systems (e.g. Broadvision)
  • for otherwise incompatible technologies such as some Unix applications (e.g. CATIA)

Microsoft Office Template Integration

When implementing a new Document Management system, Knowhow is able to build integrations between customer's Microsoft Office Templates and the Open Text eDOCS DM software that enable information within the DM system to be pulled into the document, significantly simplifying the process of document creation.

Further customisation is possible by accessing databases.
